Abstract

Student athletes with disabilities face unique challenges in dealing with academic demands and pressures to achieve success in sports. These conditions may affect their mental health if they are not supported by adequate stress coping skills. The educational seminar entitled “Achieving Without Pressure: Stress Coping for Student Athletes with 
Disabilities” was conducted as an effort to improve participants’ understanding of the importance of stress management in academic and athletic life. The activity was carried out through material presentation, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions involving student athletes with disabilities as participants. The results showed that participants gained a better understanding of stress coping, emotional regulation, and strategies for dealing with achievement pressure in a more positive and adaptive manner. Participants also demonstrated enthusiasm throughout the seminar activities. This educational seminar is expected to help improve the mental readiness of student athletes with disabilities in facing various pressures more adaptively.
